The Woodbridge Roller Hockey team played their 4th game of the season against Mater Dei High this past Sunday, November 28th at 3:55. The game was played at The Rink Irvine Inline School. Both teams played with a short bench as each team was missing a couple of players do to the Thanksgiving holiday. But that didn’t seem to matter too much to Woodbridge as their coach Greg Martin said, “We scored early and never looked back”. Chris Fawcett started the scoring off just 24 seconds into the game and finished with a game high 3 goals and 2 assists. The scoring was spread out across the team with Jenny Buckland scoring 1 goal and 3 assists and Brent Buckland, Ron Best, Tyler Doan, and Alex Karavanov finishing with one goal each. Goaltender Joey Willis locked it down in net only allowing one goal throughout the entire game. The final score was Woodbridge 9, Mater Dei 1. The next game is this Sunday, December 7th at 6:00PM at Huntington Beach Inline where Woodbridge will face off against. Fountain Valley High School.
