Two Warriors Named All-County for Girls Lacrosse

Woodbridge Juniors Jenny Buckland (pictured) and Karina Yamasaki were both named Second Team All-County by US Lacrosse for the 2014 Season.

Attacker Karina Yamasaki set a county record for goals scored in a season with 105 goals and led Southern California in ground balls won with 126. She also posted 14 assists and won 63% of her draws to establish herself as one of the premiere draw specialists in the county.

Midfielder Jenny Buckland functioned as the point guard of the Warrior attack, setting a school recored with 27 assists, to go along with 59 goals and 17 forced turnovers. Her pressure defense and full field play led her to a spot on the Orange County/LA WDNT All-Star Team which played in a national tournament in Maryland earlier this month.

It was a truly remarkable season for both of these athletes with even more to come their senior years!

Baseball and Softball advance to CIF playoffs

Good luck to baseball and softball as they begin CIF playoffs this week.

Baseball - Home on Tuesday, May 20th against San Clemente at 3:15 pm.

Softball - Away on Tuesday May 20th against Long Beach Millikan at 3:15 pm.

Girls Swim Finished 8th overall in the CIF Div 1 Swimming Championships

Last Saturday the girl’s swim team broke 6 new school records to finish 8^th in DIVISION 1 CIF FINALS.  Congratulate Daniela Georges (2^nd in 200 free, 1^st in 500)  Whitney Chang (record in 100fly)  Isis Choi (200 IM) Alexa Clayfield ( record in 100 back) and Kate Krolikowski  200 free relay!!

Girls and Boys Swim at CIF Prelims

Our Girls and boys team had a great day at the Division 1 CIF swim prelims yesterday.  The girls blasted off 6 new records, including the medley and 200 free relays.  They are back in finals for almost every race,  including those relays!!  Congrats to Captain Alexa Clayfield, Isis Choi, Whitney Chang, Daniela Georges, Kate Krowlikowski on  their return to finals tomorrow night (5/17/14).  The boys team had 2 relays (2 free and 4 free) qualify for finals and Jonathan Lee will be back in the 100 free!  We are super proud of both teams!!!!

Boys Golf

Congratulations to the boys golf team for finishing the regular season 2nd in the PCL and ranked 8th in the county. 

CIF team playoffs start on Monday 5/19.  

Hide Yoshihara and Nicholas Kumamoto both qualified for the CIF individuals, competed today and both advanced to play on May 27th at Mission Lakes CC in Desert Hot Springs.
